Girl Repeatedly Raped By Bucks County Man For More Than 2 Years: DA

A Bristol Township man was convicted of raping a girl multiple times during a period spanning more than two years, authorities said.

Carlos Navedo, 52, was convicted on multiple counts of Child Rape and related charges on Wednesday, Oct. 30, according to the Bucks County District Attorney's Office.

Investigators found that Navedo raped the girl several times between January 2021 and December 2023, the district attorney's office said. 

The girl, who is now 13, testified on the first day of the trial, telling jurors that she was 10 or 11 years old when Navedo first raped her, according to the district attorney's office. She said Navedo continued to sexually assault her and would also show her pornography.

Navedo was charged in January, following the investigation, the district attorney said. The jury found him guilty of:

  • Rape of Child.
  • Statutory Sexual Assault: 11 Years or Older.
  • Involuntary Deviate Sexual Intercourse with Child (two counts).
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child.
  • Unlawful Contact with Minor - Sexual Offenses.
  • Sexual Assault.
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault without Consent.
  • Aggravated Indecent Assault of a Child Under 13 Years of Age.
  • Indecent Assault Person Less than 13 Years of Age.
  • Corruption of Minors - Defendant Age 18 or Above.
  • Dissemination of Explicit Sexual Material to a Minor.
  • Indecent Assault without Consent of Other.

He is being held in the Bucks County Prison, according to court documents. His sentencing is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 30 after undergoing an evaluation from the Sex Offender Assessment Board, the district attorney's office said.

Navedo faced prior sexual assault charges involving someone under the age of 16 in March 2000, according to court documents. He's had multiple other charges filed against him since 1997, including drug possession, DUI, assault, and disorderly conduct.
